The GumTree Museum of Art
Youth Summer Art Camp
Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal
Wednesday, August, 27, 2008
Twenty one bowls were made by children ages 6 to 13. The campers
constructed the bowls utilizing clay slabs and
rubber stamps. The bowls were bisque fired, then
glazed and fired again. The Salvation Army facility
on Douglas St. hosted the summer art camp for the
museum this year. This is our way of saying thank
you to the Salvation Army and instilling the
importance of community service and giving for our
community youth.
